Corey Jermaine (b. 1987) has spent the past seven years documenting the streets of Bushwick, deeply engaging with the neighborhood’s dynamic fashion and arts community.

In addition to his street photography, Jermaine self-published Bushwick Studio Sessions, a series of studio portraits created between 2018 and 2020. The second installment of the series was released in September 2024 in conjunction with his solo exhibition It Gets Better With Time, marking Jermaine’s third solo show in New York City.

Corey’s practice explores the transformation of street portraiture into fine art, challenging conventional notions of how subjects encountered in public space can be seen, interpreted, and remembered.
